After not seeing each other for over a year, Josh and Will hung out and got sad and decided they should write a song about it. These were the first four songs they wrote together. They were written and recorded in bedrooms, basements, and practice spaces between October 2016 and September 2017.

This EP has been an education in loss, in how it shapes us, the lies we tell to flowers, and the projections the sun makes when it filters through our tiny, perforated wings. After a long slow-dance with silence, this is a love letter to noise.

Pet Moth is an effort toward tenderness. Will and Josh met in Boston as members of their school’s spoken word community. In winter 2016, they began writing songs as pet moth.
